The first garden in 2009 was a disaster of weeds and clay. Thanks to the internet and the many gardening books my research lead me to raised bed gardening and it's been a joy since. My family growing up always had a garden so when I married and moved to this home it was the natural thing to do. It's become a place of healing and better therapy then I ever imagined. It's constantly evolving and spreading and may soon include more of the front yard. Watch out neighbors!

New Planting Corner in Basement
Last year my husband, Pat, made this plant stand for me! He didn't finish it until after St. Patrick's Day buttttttttt hey it's awesome. This is the first year I had it early and started the season on time. So it'll be interesting to see what difference it makes.

Plant Stand Progress
Things are coming along.I know I started very early but these were plants with close to 300 days grow length. So doesn't seem like that would be early for them?

Onions are up!
Oh the joys of seeing the first seedlings emerge. Winter won't last forever, spring is on it's way! I bask in the glow of my grow lights! I read somewhere about going through therapy was like weeding. If you want to do it right you have to dig way down and get the whole weed including it's root out or it will just keep coming back. Well here's to getting rid of those thistles!!! But I think gardening and watching life start in every form is therapy as well.
