Unfortunately I dug around the summer squash and I think I found the culprit. Squash bug.
If you aren't familiar with them by this name maybe you have heard of stink bugs. Yuck!
Apparently they prefer squash but can take out cucumber and melon as well. So there we have it.
You mean a damn bug did all that damage?
ReplyDeleteOMG! Who would have ever thought! We have those crazy bugs around here and we have learned that you don't kill them if you find them inside LOL. But, knock on wood, we have never had them attack our garden. So sorry that happened to you :(
